Guaranteed price: CamperProff guarantees you a price at auction
With the guaranteed price, CamperProff sets a hidden guaranteed price, G, on your vehicle. The auction runs for 24 or 48 hours without a reserve. If the vehicle sells for less than G, CamperProff covers the difference. Here is how it works and what it costs, before you choose it in the seller flow.
The guaranteed price cannot be chosen in the seller flow right now. It is offered only once trading is open and secure payment is active.
What the guaranteed price is
The guaranteed price is a sales track in the seller flow that you choose instead of a regular auction. CamperProff approves a price, G, for your specific vehicle. G is hidden from buyers. The auction runs without a reserve: the highest bid wins, whatever the amount. On a completed sale you receive at least G, before the seller commission. CamperProff carries the guarantee and never buys the vehicle itself.
How G is set
G is based on market data for comparable vehicles, not on your asking price. No dealer has promised in advance to bid a minimum amount. CamperProff reviews and confirms each guaranteed price before you see it. You receive a concrete offer with G and the terms, and you decide whether to accept. The offer shows how long it can be accepted. Acceptance starts the auction. An estimate or an AI valuation is not an offer.
- CamperProff may decline to offer a guaranteed price on a vehicle, for example when the market evidence is too thin. You then receive an indicative valuation, which is not an offer to buy, and can start a regular auction instead.
What it costs
There is no listing fee. As in a regular auction, the seller pays the seller commission: 0.75% of the hammer price, capped at €350 excl. VAT, plus VAT. In addition, CamperProff receives 30% of the uplift, meaning the part of the hammer price above G, capped at €700 excl. VAT per trade, with VAT on top. You keep the rest of the uplift. The buyer pays the ordinary buyer commission.
- Danish businesses pay 25 % Danish VAT on the fees. Businesses in other EU countries with a VAT number confirmed in VIES are invoiced without Danish VAT (reverse charge). Without a confirmed VAT number you cannot trade.
- If your company has an approved pilot agreement with a fee waiver, it covers only the 0.75% seller commission, never CamperProff's share of the uplift.
An example
Guaranteed price €28,000. Amounts are excl. VAT; VAT is added on top of the fees.
- Hammer price €30,000: the uplift is €2,000, CamperProff's share is €600 and the seller commission is €225. Before VAT on the fees, your settlement is €29,175.
- Hammer price €40,000: 30% of the uplift would exceed the cap, so CamperProff's share is €700. The seller commission is €300, and your settlement before VAT on the fees is €39,000.
- Hammer price €27,000: CamperProff covers €1,000 up to G. The seller commission is €202.50, calculated on the hammer price, and your settlement before VAT on the commission is €27,797.50.
If the hammer price ends below G
When the hammer price is below G and the buyer pays, CamperProff covers the difference up to G. The seller commission is calculated on the hammer price, not on G. If the hammer price is above G, the uplift is shared as described above.
When the guarantee lapses
The guarantee applies to this auction. If it ends without bids, is withdrawn, or the buyer does not pay, the guarantee lapses and CamperProff pays nothing.
- If the auction ends without bids, or the listing is withdrawn, you can relist the vehicle as a regular auction without a guarantee.
- If the buyer does not pay, you can offer the vehicle to the next-best bidder. A sale at or above G is settled on the same guarantee terms. A sale below G is an ordinary sale without cover. A relisting is always without a guarantee.
Who can choose the guaranteed price
Approved dealers in the 27 EU member states with a VAT number confirmed in VIES. Danish companies are approved through the CVR check. The guaranteed price is offered only with secure payment through PayProff.
How you choose it
In step 2 of the seller flow you choose a sales track. If you choose the guaranteed price, CamperProff assesses the vehicle and you receive an offer or a reasoned valuation without a guarantee. You can always choose a regular auction instead. The specific, versioned terms are shown before you accept and are frozen on your listing when you accept.
